first_imgSaints Community Development Foundation are the only rugby league club foundation in the country to announce the junior team for those with learning and physical disabilities between the ages of 5 and 14.Training sessions take place every Thursday evening, from 5 until 6pm at Ruskin Drive Sports Complex.Gareth Foster,  Saints Disability Coach said: “I believe this is a fantastic initiative. We are always looking for new players to join us and being able to bring these sessions to younger members of our community is great.“It’s brilliant to be a part of the ever growing sport of Disability Rugby League, helping the sport develop and move forward. I hope to see new faces at our sessions in the near future and I cannot wait to get started.”We will be aided in this fantastic new initiative by YMCA Y Sports, Mark Jennings, St.Helens Sports Development and YMCA Y Sports Project Manager said:“It is great for us to be a partner in the delivery of the Junior disability sessions, carrying on from our involvement in the initial squad and project”.“Our staff love being involved and it is a great opportunity for them to challenge themselves as well as the players.
