first_imgPresident Ellen Johnson Sirleaf yesterday led an array of senior government officials, the United States Ambassador to Liberia, Christian Ann Elder and others in signing the book of condolence for the late Internal Affairs Minister Ambulai Johnson at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to an Executive Mansion release.Mr. Johnson died in the U.S. State of North Carolina last month. A memorial service celebrating his life was held in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, September 30. It brought together family, friends and sympathizers of the deceased. Mr. Johnson served as Deputy Minister of Labor in 1980 and former lecturer at Cuttington College, now Cuttington University, in 1970. He also lectured at the University of Liberia (UL) in 1980. Mr. Johnson served as Minister of Internal Affairs from 2006-2009. His family want to hear from him.THE family of missing Carndonagh man Barry Doherty have issued a new poster in their bid to find him as Scottish police probe two possible sightings.It’s now eight days since the 25-year-old was last seen by his father in Paisley, Scotland.His family in Scotland and Donegal are extremely concerned for his well-being. It was his birthday last Thursday and there has been no word from him.Last night friends put up posters around Paisley and Glasgow in the hope of jogging someone’s memory.His sister Cathie praised the generosity of local people.She said there had been two possible sightings which police are investigating. “There are two alleged (or reported) sightings of Barry – one coming from someone on Facebook and the other from a younger group of boys who think they saw him at a football match. The Police are going to look into it and let us know.
