Vivo is set to launch the V9 Pro in India today. The phone will be launching on Amazon India at 10AM. The V9 Pro is the successor to the Vivo V9, which was launched in India for Rs 22,990 back in March this year. Although being the Pro version the V9 Pro will be much cheaper than the V9. The smartphone is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000 and will compete with some of the similar segment Nokia, Xiaomi and Motorola phones. Soon after the launch, the V9 Pro will seemingly go up for pre-orders, but the sale is expected to begin only in October. The V9 Pro is a brand new smartphone from Vivo and hasn’t been released in any market yet, which means, India is the first market to get the device. Amazon India is already out with the dedicated page for the V9 Pro and has revealed some of the key specs about the phone. The Amazon page reveals that the Vivo V9 Pro will come with a massive screen. The teaser reveals that the V9 Pro will come with a 6.3-inch Fullview display 2.0, which Vivo claims will offer “a perfect view for enhanced experience.” The teaser also reveals that unlike the V11 Pro and the V11, the V9 Pro will come with an iPhone X like notch which will equip the selfie camera, earpiece and some sensors. The V11 and the V11 Pro comes with a waterdrop notch, or what Vivo calls a Halo FullView Display. The Amazon teaser also confirms that the V9 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE (Artificial intelligence engine) chipset paired with 6GB RAM, similar to what we get inside the V11 Pro as well. The yet-to-be-launched Realme 2 Pro is also tipped to come with Snapdragon 660 processor. The teaser also claims that the Vivo V9 Pro will be capable of tackling multitasking with ease.advertisementThe pricing of the V9 Pro is still a mystery, but what we know for sure is that the V9 Pro will be positioned below the Vivo V11 Pro. We expect the phone to be priced under Rs 20,000 to create a buzz in the similar price segment market. An IANS report that leaked last week also revealed that the V9 Pro will be priced under Rs 20,000. By pricing the V9 Pro under RS 20,000, Vivo could aim to take on the likes of phones like Mi A2, Realme 2 Pro, Nokia 6.1 Plus, among others.ALSO READ: Vivo V11 with 6.3-inch Halo FullView Display, AI powered cameras launched in India for Rs 22,990Vivo V9 Pro has been subjected to several leaks and rumours of late.
